Join us for an evening of music, creativity and community as Croí na Gaeilge hosts an Open Mic Night at the Three Compasses, Dalston on the 13th of September, starting at 7pm until late. This event welcomes all forms of expression, including music, poetry, storytelling, and any other spoken art form you'd like to share.
If you want to take part in the open mic please arrive earlier so we can get a list going and give you a slot. Please keep any pieces within a decent timeframe - below 10 minutes would be preferable.
While we encourage performances that celebrate Irish language and culture, this is by no means necessary —our aim is to create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Whether you're an experienced performer or trying something new, this is the perfect space to share your voice. We would really like to encourage people to get involved, even if you've never spoken or performed in front of a crowd before.
The open mic is free to attend, with optional donations on the night. All proceeds will be donated to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund. Irish pin badges will also be available for purchase, with all sales contributing to the same cause. Donations can be made in cash or by card, and if you can't make it in person, you can still contribute through Eventbrite.
Bígí linn and come to a night of Gaeilge, creativity, community and solidarity X
PS: If you have any traditional Irish instruments we'd love if you brought them along for a wee trad session afterwards x
